In this video, we show you how to upgrade to Wireless Apple CarPlay! This Carlinkit adapter will upgrade your existing wired CarPlay to Wireless CarPlay. We are testing the Carlinkit dongle in a 2021 Toyota C-HR Limited with standard wired CarPlay.
Note: Carlinkit does require a vehicle with existing wired CarPlay to work. Carlinkit should be compatible with the majority of vehicles with wired CarPlay. However, check the manufacturer’s website for a complete list of compatible vehicles and in the product links below.
How it works: Your iPhone will connect wirelessly via Bluetooth/WiFi to the Carlinkit adapter, while the Carlink device is connected directly via a USB cable to your car's dash.
Once you set it, you can forget. When you hope into your car, your phone will automatically connect to Carlinkit and CarPlay will appear on screen. That’s the dream!
